Our History:

Dollarwise began as a franchisee of Check-X-Change, a nation-wide franchise chain, in 1984. We began doing business as Pacific Checks Inc., and opened our first location on North Greenwood Avenue in Seattle, Washington. We opened our second store on the East Hill of Kent, Washington.

Our stores began an industry trend by using upscale construction, contemporary design and high-visibility locations. We also developed innovative methods and systems to provide customers with superior service in a modern setting. Over the years, our approach toward improving the collective image of check cashing companies has brought us considerable success as well as 12 locations in the South King County, Washington area. In our early years we offered check cashing, money orders & wire transfers. We currently offer many other services.

In order to achieve greater continuity across a larger service area Pacific Checks, Inc. withdrew from the Check-X-Change franchise system in 1998 and proudly became Dollarwise Check Cashing & Loan. As we move into the new millennium we are committed to providing fast, friendly and convenient service while building on the innovative ideas that continue to bring quality service to our customers.
